During a recent visit with the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) group in Gatebe, we learned the group has pooled their savings to buy a piglet for each member, expanding beyond beekeeping into new ventures. These piglets will help diversify the group’s income, offering quick returns and additional revenue.   

They still aim to use the honey sales from their 50 beehives to purchase a milling machine. This machine will provide food and revenue for the community, significantly boosting the local economy.  

The group has also been lending money to those in need, ensuring each member can afford health insurance. 

 
Every ABCD group member has graduated from our Business Leader Development Program and continues to receive guidance from our team as they apply their skills in real-world situations.
