Meet Xaverine, the proud owner of a salon at Gatebe Market Hub. After completing our Business Leader Development Program in 2022, she applied her newfound knowledge, focusing on saving and cutting unnecessary expenses for her salon business.  

When our Gatebe Market Hub opened in 2023, Xaverine recognized that the low rental costs, reliable electricity and water supply, and overall safety were what she needed to grow her business. These facilities have enabled her to run her business smoothly, offering beauty services to her community without the need for long-distance travel. She’s proud of the impact she has on her community, helping others feel confident, while providing financial support to her family.  

Xaverine is also an active member of two saving groups, with plans to use her savings to upgrade her salon equipment and start a farming venture.
