Innocent Ndebeye and His Wife Annonciata Niyonzima

Feb 6, 2025

Innocent Ndebeye and his wife, Annonciata Niyonzima, demonstrate how education and hard work can change lives. After graduating from our Business Leader Development Program in 2023, they now run a successful retail shop in Bwiza.

Their journey with Kinvest began with a desire to gain practical business skills. They were drawn to the opportunity to learn about saving and starting a business with limited resources. Through the training, they mastered crucial skills such as budgeting, risk management, and distinguishing between profit and earnings.

One lesson regarding investing that stood out to them was, “Don’t eat the seed; instead, plant it.”

Today, the couple not only manages their retail shop but has also expanded their investments. They purchased motorcycles, bought land, and acquired two cows. They also reinvested in agriculture, employing local community members.

Additionally, they have joined two savings groups, enabling them to plan better for the future. The couple is now able to meet their family’s financial needs, including paying school fees for their six children and covering family insurance.

Their dream is to expand their business significantly and double their agricultural production. With their newfound skills and a clear vision, they are confident in their ability to achieve this goal.
