Ismail Iyakaremye
Sep 8, 2025
Meet Ismail, a new tenant at Akayange Market Hub. He has been making delicious samosas for the past two years and previously operated from Nyagatare town. When he heard about the new market being constructed in Akayange, he immediately came to see the place and secured a stall for his business.
Being the only samosa maker at the hub and with the high foot traffic, his profits have tripled. Motivated by his small business’ growth, Ismail plans to join the next Business Leader Development cohort to enhance his business skills and continue growing his business.
The Business Leader Development Program will give him the financial acumen he needs to access finance and realize his dreams of expanding his business into a retail shop that offers a variety of foods.
You can play a part in enabling stories like Ismail’s by helping local Rwanda’s entrepreneurs gain access to markets, water, and essential resources that support their growth today.
