“Before Tujyane, getting my harvest to the market was a struggle. Now, I can transport everything in one trip and still save money.”

For the past 13 years, Jean Claude has lived in Gatebe, one of the most remote communities where we operate in Rwanda.

Jean Claude works as a maize farmer, and before Tujyane, transporting his harvest to the local market was a major challenge. He relied on bicycles and motorcycles, which were too small for his large harvests and required several costly trips. Hiring bigger trucks wasn’t an option either, as they are often too expensive for smallholder farmers.

Everything changed when Tujyane was introduced in Gatebe. The service fills the gap between motorcycles and large trucks, offering an affordable way for farmers to move their produce. Now, Jean Claude and other farmers from Gatebe share Tujyane vehicles to bundle their harvests in one trip. Doing so leads to 3x cost savings for each farmer.

For Jean Claude, the safety of goods, reliable service, and affordable pricing make Tujyane the best option. Kinvest is continuing to adapt to meet local needs, including plans to add larger vehicles to the Tujyane fleet to support the growing farming community.
