We followed up with Annette, the hardworking Dairy Cooperative Operator at the Nyagashanga Market Hub, to learn more about her journey since joining the Kinvest family in July 2023.  

The local dairy cooperative has over 300 members and operates at Kinvest hubs like Nyagashanga and Shimwa Paul, benefiting from electricity, safety, and cleanliness while providing milk to the community. The cooperative and Annette’s impact on the Nyagashanga community is clear, as they have made milk more accessible and affordable, significantly improving the quality of life for residents. 

After completing the Business Leader Development program, Annette gained valuable skills in business management, decision-making, and understanding market needs. These skills have helped her succeed in her role and inspired her dream of starting her own business. 

Before this opportunity, Annette struggled to meet her basic needs. Now, she supports her family financially, buys what she needs without depending on others, and actively saves money through two savings groups.  

Looking ahead, Annette dreams of owning cows and buying land to support her plans. With her savings, skills, and determination, she is confident she can achieve her goals and continue helping her community grow.
