Meet Annette, the dairy cooperative operator at the Nyagashanga Market Hub. Since joining the Kinvest family, she has witnessed transformation for herself and community.   

Thanks to her friend Hope, our Nyagashanga Hub Operator, Annette learned about the role at the dairy cooperative and decided to seize the opportunity in July 2023.   

Kinvest supports local dairy cooperative activities through equipment financing and providing electricity to power operations. Over 300 local farmers are members of this cooperative.

The game changer for Annette has been the consistent income she receives at our market hub. Working in a community that values kinship and optimism, Annette can now afford rent and is saving to purchase land with cattle—an investment in her family’s future.  

Annette is transforming not only her own life but also the Nyagashanga community. Previously, people had to travel far to get milk, incurring high transportation costs. Now, with Annette’s contribution, milk is available and affordable at the market hub.  

Annette wants to stay rooted in the Nyagashanga community and continue contributing to its growing local economy. Her story is a testament to the ripple effect Kinvest is having in Rwanda.
