Emmanuel Nshimiyimana
Mar 5, 2026
Meet Emmanuel, a tenant at the Shimwa Paul Hub who has been running his barbershop for just over a month. He chose this location because it offers safety, affordable rent, reliable electricity, and access to clean water all essential for running a hygienic and successful barbershop.
Before opening the barbershop, Emmanuel was already working in agriculture and as an MTN agent. The barbershop is an additional business and the fulfillment of a long-held dream. After graduating from the Business Leader Development training with Kinvest Impact Foundation, Emmanuel realized that starting a business does not always require large capital. With the right skills, clear ideas, and discipline, his dream became possible.
Through the training, he learned how to save, manage his money, separate income from expenses, invest wisely, and make sound business decisions. Today, Emmanuel employs two permanent workers in his barbershop and provides seasonal jobs through his agricultural activities. He is also an active member of three savings groups, where he saves weekly, with plans to expand his barbershop and purchase new equipment.
It is always our pleasure to see our graduates expanding their businesses and staying on the right path toward long-term success.
