Sustainable economic development thrives when driven by local communities.

We collaborate closely with community members to unlock the potential of people. This approach involves actively engaging local leaders and jointly assessing the impact of our services. These leaders offer valuable insights into how best to harness opportunities and mobilize people, thanks to their on-the-ground knowledge and deep understanding of local contexts.

Recently, we welcomed Pastor Nkurunziza Francis and Pastor Minega Shyaka from the Karangazi community to our Field Office. They shared how our water project has significantly improved lives, reducing the cost of clean water by 75% and ensuring access year-round.

The pastors also expressed a strong interest in expanding our Business Leader Development Program within their churches and the broader community, recognizing its potential to impart business skills and inspire growth.

Their visit reaffirmed the powerful role local leaders play in shaping our work in Eastern Rwanda. Thanks to their feedback, we’ve been able to adapt our approach to better meet the specific needs of each community and help chart a path to a brighter future.
