What is Tujyane?

Tujyane, meaning let’s go together, is our commercial transportation service designed to connect rural communities to high-value markets. In rural Rwanda, over 55.3% of people live more than two kilometers away from all-season roads, limiting their access to essential goods, services, and opportunities. Tujyane addresses this challenge by offering an affordable, efficient, and sustainable transportation solution for local businesses.

With Tujyane, goods are transported 4x faster and at a third of the cost, enabling local businesses to grow and thrive. We serve 30-50 clients a month and have worked with a total of 750 clients in Eastern Rwanda. In our first year of operation, we transported over 238,000 kilograms of goods.

Tujyane is also going electric. This focus on eco-friendly transportation aligns with the broader goal of supporting sustainable development in rural areas. In 2025, we aim to completely convert our remaining vehicles, while refining our design and improving our services.

In the long term, Tujyane envisions a future where rural businesses can overcome the challenges of distance and transportation, allowing them to succeed and improve their livelihoods. By providing a more efficient and affordable way to reach high-value markets, Tujyane enables local entrepreneurs to contribute to the growth of their communities.
