“Joining Kinvest has been life-changing for me. I’ve purchased land and built a home for my parents.” 

This month, we followed up with Daniel, the owner of a barber shop at our Nyenyeri Market Hub. In this follow-up, we celebrate Daniel’s continued progress since joining Kinvest in 2020. 

“Before Kinvest, I struggled with unemployment, unsure of how to make ends meet,” Daniel shared. A Kinvest staff member introduced him to the opportunities at our market hubs, highlighting the benefits of access to electricity and clean water. 

Today, Daniel’s barber shop thrives, providing him with the means to hire two employees and pay school fees for his child. In addition to his barber shop, Daniel continues cultivating tomatoes and cabbage on his land, pictured above. Daniel plans to use his profits to expand his business and start offering salon services for women.  

Engaged in three savings groups, Daniel plans to diversify his income further and acquire more land for agricultural ventures. He is also committed to contributing to the development of Nyenyeri by advocating for better infrastructure.
