New formed ABCD group from Shimwa Paul
Dec 9, 2024
Meet Ejo Heza, meaning “Tomorrow is Better,” a newly formed Asset-Based Community Development group in Shimwa Paul.
This group is made up of five graduates from our Business Leader Development Program. Since starting their journey in March, they have chosen to focus on pig farming for its affordability and profit generation potential. Currently, they have two pigs and expect 20 piglets next month!
The members of the group have intentionally kept their team small to facilitate effective monitoring and collaboration. They meet weekly to save funds, ensuring they have the resources necessary for daily farming expenses and future investments.
Passionate about empowering their fellow community members in Shimwa Paul, the group dreams of helping locals grow and achieve their goals together. They view pig farming as a pathway to not only individual success but also to the collective advancement of their community.
By supporting and training others to follow in their footsteps through our Business Leader Development Program, we can multiply the number of successful, empowered business leaders who can catalyze the development of their local communities.
